It depends on your dog’s condition. I usually suggest weekly sessions for dogs for recovery purpose, bi-weekly sessions for dogs with chronic pain or rehabilitation purpose, and 4 weekly sessions for maintenance purpose.
I cannot diagnose or treat injuries or diseases. Massage and bodywork are for promoting self-healing of the body. I would love to help your dog recover in addition to their regular treatment as recommended by your veterinarian.
The muscles of the problem area of the body may be compensating for an underlying issue. A full body massage promotes the circulation of blood and fluids throughout your dog’s body, helping to eliminate stagnation of body fluid and toxins and promote balance.
Before the session, please feed and lightly exercise your dog. Your dog’s body needs to be dry and free of dirt. Please create a quiet space so that your dog can be comfortable without distractions.
After the session, please provide clean fresh water.
