About Akiko
Akiko is a devoted advocate for animal well-being and has immersed herself in the care of horses and dogs. Her journey began as a volunteer at a therapeutic riding facility, where she found a desire to make a positive impact on the horses she worked with. She became a certified equine massage therapist, specializing in equine health and wellness. Her interest in canine massage came naturally as a long-time dog owner, and she earned her certification as a canine massage therapist.
About Happy Muscles, LLC
Akiko established Happy Muscles LLC in 2019. In addition to massage therapy, she has also achieved certifications in Cold Laser and Red Light therapy and craniosacral therapy to expand her skills as a practitioner. She has also shadowed an equine acupuncturist, volunteered with hippotherapy rehabilitation services, volunteered and worked at local equine rescues, and actively contributed to other animal rescues, all while taking horsemanship training to gain a deeper understanding of horses and their well-being.
Akiko spends her time with her husband, two giant-breed dogs and her rescue thoroughbred gelding.
